Ascott Orchard showcases local fashion to guests
Ascott Orchard has launched a Fashion Experience Program this month, bringing the works of Singapore’s local designers to guests of the serviced apartments.
The promotion was inspired by the Singapore Tourism Board’s Passion Made Possible brand. For the next six months, Ascott Orchard’s international guests will be invited to a series of exclusive workshops and a fashion insiders’ tour. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with displays showcasing creations by local designers and makers in the facility’s lobby.
“By launching the Fashion Experience program at our premier serviced residence Ascott Orchard Singapore, we are setting the stage for our local makers and designers to showcase their talents to our international guests,” explains Ervin Yeo, Ascott’s regional GM for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
“Through a carefully curated tour and a series of workshops, guests will get exclusive insights to the Singapore fashion scene from founders, designers and makers of local brands. This is Singapore’s time to shine.”
Local makers and designers in the program include GINLEE Studio, an independent fashion house; Eden + Elie, a jewellery brand that infuses modern design and Peranakan bead weaving; Liz B, a jeweller that uses gemstones and crystals, experimenting with lines, forms and textures for each design; Lingwu, whose versatile bags are designed for women on the go; Re:Erth, a mindful skincare label; BloomBack which will be hosting a Preserved Flower Arrangement workshop; Hush Candle, which uses soy wax to make candles; and Maketh Project which offers leather crafting workshops.
