Selected submissions for the Good Design Research programme include a proposal by fashion brand Gin Lee. The programme will support Gin Lee to develop a new way of pleating that will enable on-demand and on-the-spot manufacturing solution that is sustainable, customisable and engaging for consumers. The technique could be further developed into an industry solution for other fashion businesses facing similar issues with wastage of fabrics in the manufacturing process.
